Regulatory Specialist (SDS /Labelling) £Competitive salary + Bonus South East ABJ7296 A Regulatory Specialist with a chemistry background is urgently required to support the Global Product team for Regulatory Chemical standards by executing project tasks and/or assisting the Product Stewardship team. As a regulatory or labelling specialist you would confirm that systems and processes are aligned with the company’s ongoing compliance efforts by identifying potential inefficiencies and reporting them to management. As a regulatory SDS and labelling specialist you would support the execution of departmental projects by completing designated work packages ensuring the organisation meets Global Regulatory Chemical requirements concerning the provision of safety data sheets and labels. (use SAP EHS). Hybrid – 3 days onsite Main Accountabilities: Proactively identify, report, and enhance safety-related concerns utilising available tools and systems. Accountable for delivering designated work packages that align with the objectives and projects of Regulatory Product Compliance. Cultivate expertise and insights in relevant regulatory topics to assist experienced personnel in understanding their implications. Process and analyse data and information to facilitate informed business decision-making. Effectively communicate findings and requirements regarding regulatory inquiries and projects. Establish a network within the local organization, including technical and business units, as well as production, to support SHE objectives by ensuring legal compliance in assigned areas. Develop connections with broader business, technical, and commercial teams to become a recognised member of the regulatory team. Conduct technical reviews of raw material safety data sheets (SDS) and verify the classification and labelling of raw materials. Identify discrepancies in supplier information and resolve them when possible. Ensure that the raw material database is consistently updated, creating and editing records as necessary. Collaborate with site data managers to ensure accurate maintenance of final product compositions. Maintain data on pure substances, raw materials, and products within the S/4 Hana SAP system EHS module. Classify raw materials and products in accordance with local and regional GHS guidelines and regulations, updating relevant systems with classifications and ensuring compliance through safety data sheets and labels throughout the supply chain. Generate safety data sheets and labels. QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE: Degree in Chemistry or a related field Knowledge of classification and labelling of substances and mixtures in accordance with the Globally Harmonised System is desirable. Previous experience with SAP EHS will be an advantage. industrial experience working in a regulatory team.
