Are you a seasoned Python Engineer who enjoys building clean, scalable backend systems in the cloud? Are you local to the North-West and looking for a new, hybrid position? If so, read on...

We’re working with a fast-growing tech company based in Manchester that’s looking for a backend Python developer to join their team. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing robust backend services and infrastructure, working closely with cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code tools. While the team works on a number of AI/ML projects, this is not a machine learning role - though an interest or past experience in the space is definitely a bonus!

They are looking for someone with:

  • Strong up-to-date Python experience, focused on backend development
  • Good experience with AWS - S3, CI/CD etc
  • Strong understanding of Terraform and infrastructure as code in general
  • Solid grasp of unit testing using PyTest/PyUnit (or similar - Behave / Robot / Selenium)
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, etc)

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Exposure to ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch (not essential)
  • Experience in e-commerce or retail tech environments

This is a hybrid role 2 days a week in office, so candidates must be based in the North-West for this to work. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position.
