What You’ll Be Doing: Developing and implementing sourcing strategies alongside Category Managers to ensure quality, value, and compliance in procurement. Leading and improving utilities contract management to achieve cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. Implementing a robust Contract Management Standard to deliver outstanding performance outcomes. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving collaboration and innovation. Embedding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintaining high standards across all contracts. Transforming utilities processes, managing energy contracts, and driving improvements for the benefit of customers. Supporting the Head of Procurement with supplier risk management, training delivery, and compliance auditing. What You’ll Bring: Extensive procurement experience in the Public sector Strong expertise in contract and supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, and change implementation. Proven track record in supplier negotiation, cost-saving delivery, and quality improvement. Exceptional relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders and suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Analytical, proactive, and innovative approach to problem-solving. CIPS qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred.
