About Us: Situated in the heart of Nottingham, our hotel and conference venue is a premier destination for events ranging from corporate meetings and exhibitions to weddings and live entertainment. With modern facilities and a reputation for excellence, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic AV Technician Manager to lead our in-house audio-visual operations.

The Role: As the AV Technician Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's AV services. From setting up conference rooms and managing live event production, to maintaining equipment and supporting client needs, your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless event delivery. You will also manage freelancers on larger events and liaise closely with our events, operations, and sales departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the AV team in daily operations and event execution
  • Coordinate AV setups for conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audio, lighting, video, and projection systems
  • Provide technical support to clients and guests, ensuring high service standards
  • Maintain inventory, schedule maintenance, and order new equipment as needed
  • Liaise with external suppliers and production companies when required
  • Train and mentor junior AV staff, creating a culture of continuous improvement

About You:

  • Proven experience in AV setup and live event production (preferably in a hotel, conference centre, or venue environment)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in AV systems, including soundboards, microphones, projectors, lighting, and streaming equipment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Flexible, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven setting
