Verus Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a leading international aerospace and automotive manufacturer based in South Yorkshire in the search for a skilled CNC Turner. This full-time, permanent opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and new projects.
As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for the setup and operation of one or more CNC turning machines, ensuring that components are manufactured to exact specifications, drawings, and quality requirements. About the Job:- Set up, load, run and operate CNC turning machines and supporting processes.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and PPE are used correctly and safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Carry out inspections using CMM equipment and manual gauging tools.
- Qualified in CNC operation, either through an apprenticeship or industry experience.
- Skilled in using measuring equipment such as Verniers, Gauges, and Micrometers.
- Capable of interpreting SOPs, technical drawings, and specification documents.
- Previous experience in a CNC role within the aerospace or similar engineering sector.
- A proactive team player.
- CMM experience.
- Starting salary of £37,570.64 (£19.53/hour) for 2 shifts.
- Potential to move to a 3-shift pattern in the future, increasing salary to £39,073.47 (£20.31/hour).
- Early finish every Friday.
- 185 hours of holiday per year, plus the option to buy or sell an additional 37 hours in March.
