We are looking for a Customer Delivery Controller for a 12-Month contract based in Derby (hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote working) on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs.
As a Customer Delivery Controller, you will have a holistic view across all operations, ensuring that customer impact is fully understood and any product-specific issues are escalated for resolution. You will support the business in making effective allocation decisions by acting as the customer-facing organisation\’s delegated authority or referring issues to the appropriate customer-facing or supply chain coordinating personnel.
As a Customer Delivery Controller, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Utilising standardised mitigation, prioritisation, and allocation logic to maintain smooth operations.
  • Leading or facilitating cross-functional IPTs to interface with customer-facing organisations and Operations, ensuring prioritisation of issues across the global supply chain to protect and optimise customer delivery performance.
  • Maintaining accurate and credible information for customer-critical parts in executive systems and visual management tools.
  • Providing timely communication on delivery issues in accordance with governance processes and service levels.
  • Facilitating root cause analysis and driving business process changes to prevent issue recurrence.
  • Ensuring compliance with company standard systems, processes, and reporting mechanisms to address potential delivery hazards.
  • Contributing to Communities of Practice and supporting process improvement initiatives.
What we require from a Customer Delivery Controller:
  • Proven influencing, problem-solving, and team-working skills.
  • Previous operational role experience in related functions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build networks across functions and organisations.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and meeting customer requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs.
  • SAP (ERP) experience.
  • Experience working within engineering sector e.g Aerospace or Automotive.
  • Experience in planning and control (MRPC).
  • Ability to act as the point of contact between the procurement function and internal customers, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Strong data analysis, planning, and delivery experience.
