Key Responsibilities:
- To assist and support the Operations Manager in the operational delivery and performance management of the Council's Street Scene Teams (grounds maintenance/open spaces and street cleaning)
- To manage the day-to-day operation of the Street Scene Teams (grounds maintenance, open spaces and street cleaning)
- To ensure the Street Scene (grounds maintenance/open spaces and street cleaning) services are delivered in compliance with statutory legislation and national and local policies and plans including health and safety, Operator's Licence, Environment Agency permits, etc.
You:
- Experience of leading and developing frontline team
- Excellent people management skills with ability to manage, engage and motivate team
- Experience of delivering grounds maintenance (amenity horticulture) services (desirable)
- Experience of delivering street cleansing services (desirable)
- Budget management
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
- IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
