About the Role:
Join a vibrant and supportive school in Ealing as a Behaviour Mentor! This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping students thrive both academically and emotionally. The school is planning for a September start and is actively looking to connect with enthusiastic candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective 1:1 mentoring relationships with targeted students
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored one-to-one support sessions addressing barriers to learning
- Provide support to students facing social, emotional, or mental health challenges that impact their ability to self-regulate in lessons
- Uphold and apply the school’s behaviour and relationships policy with calmness, consistency, and fairness
- Implement a variety of behaviour management strategies to positively support student development
- Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to monitor progress and adjust support strategies
- Help manage incidents and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively and safely
The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:
- Hold valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Have experience working with children or young people (this could be in education, youth work, sports coaching, social care or similar)
- Positive attitude and high energy when approaching your work
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Experience within a Pupil Referral Unit or alternative education setting is desirable but not essential
