I'm working with an extremely down-to-earth, well-established company that specialises in wholesale distribution. We're on the lookout for a confident, capable IT Manager to join their team - someone who can lead, deliver, and keep things running like clockwork. You'll be the go-to person for all things tech: owning their systems, infrastructure, and websites, while leading a hybrid team of internal staff and outsourced partners. This role is perfect for an IT Manager who thrives in hands-on environments, someone who can balance strategic thinking with rolling up their sleeves for the day-to-day challenges.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of internal IT staff, plus coordinating with an outsourced development team.
- Overseeing major digital projects, including a website migration and an upcoming data transformation initiative.
- Managing the health, security, and development of our Magento 2 ecommerce platform. (Magento experience is a MUST)
- Keeping our internal infrastructure secure, modern, and reliable, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
- Providing hands-on support and high-level guidance on everything from ERP systems (ideally you will have exposure to Sage 200) to futureproofing our IT strategy.
- Leading with a project-first mindset, ensuring key deliverables are completed on time, while empowering your team.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in a similar IT leadership role (ideally 3+ years).
- Strong background in development with knowledge of infrastructure and systems.
- Magento 2 experience is a must-have.
- ERP experience - Sage 200, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Confident people manager and project leader - you’ll be overseeing multiple moving parts.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices and governance frameworks.
- Great communication skills - you’ll be working closely with various teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Overview:
- Salary up to £60,000.
- A key leadership role within a well-established business.
- Full ownership of digital transformation and IT strategy.
- A close-knit, collaborative team environment with real influence and visibility.
- A chance to make a genuine impact on how they work and grow.
This is a full-time, permanent role based onsite in Greater Manchester (Monday to Friday). If you’re a hands-on IT Manager with a sharp eye for strategy and a passion for delivering projects, I would love to hear from you. Apply online for a conversation about the role and company in more detail.
