We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Brick Hiab class 2 driver to join our client in Uddingston. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle deliveries with care and professionalism.
Duties
- Ensure that all loads are secured properly before departure and during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring careful handling of products.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries, is highly desirable.
- A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence is required for this position.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
