We are currently hiring Welders for an industry leader in the Building Services sector. You will be responsible for welding a range of pipe configurations, utilising various methods to produce high-quality welds.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00, Friday 07:00-16:00, with overtime available at 1.5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To operate MIG welding equipment to weld a range of pipe configurations utilising various methods of welding.
  • Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment.
  • General workshop duties.
  • Read and understand pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
  • Adhere to company welding procedures and ensure proper pipe preparation and fit-up.
  • Undertake training in accordance with company standards and complete cross-training in various welding activities.
  • Follow company Health & Safety processes.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding.
  • Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up.
  • Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures.
  • Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc.
  • Desirable: Heavy or structural Fabrication experience.
  • Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG.
  • Abrasive wheel training.
