Location: Central Aberdeen

Duration: 7 weeks
Salary: £neg/shift based on experience
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a fast-paced retail fit-out project involving the joining of two existing retail units within a live shopping centre environment. This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality results on tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day site operations ensuring safety, quality, and programme are upheld
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and logistics within a live retail environment
- Liaise closely with the shopping centre management, tenants, and project stakeholders
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations (CDM, RAMS, etc.)
- Monitor progress and report to the Project Manager on schedule and budget adherence
- Manage site documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Supervise internal works to finish the project to a CAT A finish
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fit-out or refurbishment projects
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications required
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, building regs, and risk management in live environments
- IT literate – able to work with site reports, drawings, and digital documentation
