The Peninsula London is seeking to hire a Compliance and Engineering Contracts Supervisor who will assist the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering in carrying out day-to-day tasks/projects. This role will be responsible for all kinds of compliance and contracts management and administration work, proper execution of established Planned Preventative Service Programs, and keeping the Director of Engineering/Assistant Director of Engineering informed of progress of work, possible delays, job performance, interest, discipline, and progress discrepancies against the programme schedule of the projects.

Key accountabilities:
  • Liaises and coordinates with all contractors and the Engineering management team.
  • Monitors workmanship of contractors and reports to the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering for any outstanding issues.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly progress reports for compliance and service contracts.
  • Establishes and ensures that safe working conditions and practices are adhered to by contractors throughout the hotel, and reports to the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering for any non-compliances.
  • Joins the hotel operation meetings to check or report activities and emergencies.
  • Cooperates and coordinates with all engineers and external contractors whenever necessary and interacts with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
General requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role within construction and project management.
  • Trade qualification in Building Survey or Building Services.
  • Degree in Engineering, experienced in hospitality, construction-related or Building Services related subject.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Self-starter, independent, good presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, customer-oriented, goals and result-oriented, and articulate.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency.
