Golf & Sports Event Executive

We are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenGolf & Sports Events Executive.

With the support of the Golf & Sports Sales Manager this role will be responsible for the planning & co-ordination of all Group & Sports bookings. The role will be responsible for re-contracting annual bookings, increasing Golf & Sports Event revenues across the portfolio of hotels through creative upselling techniques, and above all responsible for creating and delivering outstanding experiences for all Golf & Sports Events.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong sales acumen, and have a proven track record in selling and executing events.

What youll do

• Respond to all golf and group sport event enquires across various channels for hotels across the portfolio
• Build strong relationships with Golf Wholesales, Sports Agents and Teams
• Accuratelyforecastsgolf&sportgrouprooms,greenfeerevenue&catering
• Proactivelycrossreferleadopportunitieswithinclusterforboththesesegmentsor otherMarriottpropertieswhereappropriate
• Coordinationofallcustomerrequirements,includingcommunicationandcompletingverbally andinwritingwiththecustomerthedetails ofaneventuptohandovertoonpropertyteam.
• Providessupporttoall hotelsasrequiredandrequestedforthegolf&sportsegment
• Trainingandexecutionof59ClubGolfenquirystandards,continuallyreviewandagreeimprovementactionstoensurebenchmarkpercentageis exceeded
• OwnershipforthemanagementandconversionofassignedenquiriesfromSportsTeams, Wholesale,SocietyandCorporateGolfDays

With this role you will be working 40 hours per week over 5 days, predominately Monday Friday day shifts although there may be the need to cover weekends or evenings for showrounds or to welcome your Clients for their event, after all you wouldnt miss out seeing the smile on their face after all of your planning.
