About the Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a XCM EU Activation Lead. This is a full-time position based in London. The role supports WPP's mission to deliver consistency, excellence, and top-tier service for Amazon across XCM EU, Amazon’s Cross Channel Marketing. This role acts as a link between Strategy & Planning teams and Activation. The XCM EU Activation Lead ensures comprehensive briefs are developed collaboratively and that implementational planning specialists and platform experts meet client expectations by achieving campaign KPIs through operational excellence. Responsibilities include reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations. The role oversees the XCM EU Regional Hub Activation teams, including staff in London and a nearshore team in Poland, working closely with local markets for offline and IO-based display/partnership planning.
Responsibilities
- Activation Leadership & Strategic Thinking: Develop and champion the OpenDoor XCM EU Activation vision, aligning with Amazon’s customer-centricity and WPP’s strategic objectives. Ensure high-quality delivery of activation services (implementation, ad ops, reporting) adhering to SLAs and optimizing campaign delivery. Contribute to the transformation agenda, overseeing Activation's role in executing strategic vision. Synthesize insights from biddable channels for strategic recommendations. Provide guidance on digital investment and optimization strategies. Collaborate with Measurement teams to enhance data analytics frameworks. Lead development of cross-channel activation plans for key campaigns. Drive digital learning initiatives and explore new channels and technologies. Ensure WPP solutions are integrated into activation plans.
- Team Management & Development: Oversee London-based activation teams and nearshore Poland team, collaborating with local markets. Manage team resources and budgets effectively. Foster team growth and maintain a positive work environment.
- Client Relationship & Communication: Serve as a senior client contact for digital strategy and activation. Guide local markets in developing digital plans. Act as a consultant to clients and internal teams for activation strategies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Campaign Management & Execution: Partner with regional teams to optimize delivery. Oversee digital planning and performance management. Analyze data for campaign improvements. Ensure plans translate into effective activation strategies. Develop audience targeting processes and KPIs. Manage budgets, channel plans, and platform standards.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Fulfill trading deals and identify new revenue opportunities. Oversee all digital aspects of the XCM business.
