The Role: As our Development Head Chef, you will be responsible for: Menu Innovation & Development: Spearheading the research, development, and refinement of all new menus and dishes, ensuring they align with current culinary trends, client expectations, and our luxury brand standards. Recipe Creation & Standardisation: Developing and documenting precise recipes and cooking methods to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all culinary operations. Supplier Relations & Sourcing: Identifying and building relationships with premium suppliers to source the finest, freshest, and most innovative ingredients. Cost Control & Profitability: Working closely with the operations team to ensure menu profitability and efficient cost management without compromising on quality. Team Leadership & Training: Mentoring and inspiring a team of chefs, providing ongoing training and development in new techniques and culinary approaches. Quality Assurance: Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation across all dishes. Market Research: Staying abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging culinary techniques to ensure our menus remain cutting-edge. About You: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Development Chef in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or premium events catering environment. Exceptional culinary creativity and a genuine passion for food innovation. Strong understanding of food trends, seasonal ingredients, and international cuisines. Impeccable organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to develop and standardise recipes with precision. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding quality. Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Financial acumen and experience in cost control. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
