Youth Workers

About the roles You’ll be delivering important targeted work, working with vulnerable young people. This will involve leading on group work projects with support from Youth Support Workers and delivering one to one support. By delivering this work, you can make a real difference to young people’s lives. You would be giving young people support at an early stage, preventing their issues from seriously affecting their daily life, health, development, or safety. We are looking for candidates who can quickly establish positive relationships with diverse groups of young people and respond flexibly to their needs and the priorities of the service. About you Essential: You’ll either need a nationally recognised JNC qualification or the ability to complete the JNC high education qualification. Recent experience of working with young people. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritise workload and planning. Ability to work regular evenings in line with JNC terms and conditions. Confident in using ICT. Previous line management experience is desirable. Full UK driving licence & regular access to a vehicle. Where we are funding your JNC qualification, the funding is repayable if you leave within two years of post-qualification.
