Job Title: Site Engineer โ€“ Flood Alleviation Scheme The Site Engineer will be based on our Flood Alleviation Scheme, valued at over ยฃ25m. The scheme includes piling, RC works, earthworks, and civils. The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out the site and establishing dimensional controls in accordance with relevant contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. They ensure all relevant tolerances are met without compromising quality or floor space. Their duties include reviewing construction outputs, planning efficient sequences of operations with a focus on control, quality, and technical guidance. The Engineer will perform their work following company standard procedures and adhere to the Sisk Safety Statement/Policy. Set out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys. Liaise with project planners regarding construction programmes and supplier outputs. Check materials and works in progress for compliance with specified requirements, observing the Sisk Q10 standards. Follow all safety requirements outlined in the company safety statement. Contribute to Inspection and Test Plans and ensure supply chain provides test data to meet contract technical requirements. Raise RFIs and resolve technical issues with employerโ€™s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities. Maintain quality control and record keeping as per procedural method statements, quality plans, and inspection/test plans prepared by the project management team and subcontractors. Minimum Requirements At least 3 years of post-qualification experience with good sector knowledge or experience within a project-based organization. Articulate and numerate, capable of delivering reports verbally and in writing persuasively and objectively. Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to act independently and professionally, influencing others including senior management. Working knowledge of Control of Temporary Works (ability to act as the TWC is advantageous). Qualifications and Certifications Degree/Diploma in Engineering. SMSTS / MSIC certification. First Aid Course certification. Lifting Supervisor Certification. Temporary Works Coordinator trained (TWC). Chartered or working towards professional status with Engineers Ireland or the Institute of Civil Engineers. Flood/Water experience is desirable. Benefits Competitive salary.
