Remote Home Based Software Architect

Overview

Our established client is currently looking to recruit a Software Architect on a permanent basis, working remotely from home.

Salary and Benefits

£65,000 – £85,000 depending on experience + Car Allowance £4,600 + Bonus + excellent benefits package. Home based role with some travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for the project software design, task planning, functional testing and provide integration testing support to deliver a working integrated solution in line with client expectations and the overall project schedule.
• Lead a team of Software Engineers.
• Take responsibility for the overall software design including design concepts and specification.
• Maintain burn charts in Jira.
• Identify changing scopes.
• Manage testing and quality reviews.
• Develop source code as appropriate.
• Manage rectification of software faults.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experience in the complete end-to-end design and development of software solutions from design to integration.
• Experience with C++ at expert level. Experience with Linux and Java are highly desirable.
• Background in software design/architect role or as Senior Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer and/or Lead Developer seeking to move into a new role.
