In this key role, you'll provide high-quality financial and management accounting services, partnering with senior stakeholders and directorates to ensure accurate reporting, sound decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organisation.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nDeliver timely and effective management accounting services and reports\\nPartner with internal directorates to support financial decision-making\\nProvide professional financial advice and identify areas for improvement\\nSupport and enhance finance processes, systems, and compliance\\nProduce monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and statutory returns\\nAssist with year-end processes and external audits\\nTrain and guide stakeholders on financial procedures and systems\\nWork closely with senior stakeholders and external partnersRequired Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:\\n\\nDegree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience\\nQualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)\\nExcellent communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills\\nWorking knowledge of public sector finance, regulations, and governanceBenefits:\\n\\n28 days annual leave plus bank holidays\\nAccess to the Local Government Pension Scheme\\nFlexi-Time Scheme – accrue up to 18 additional days leave per year\\nHybrid working modelThis is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, meaningful projects with long-lasting regional impact.
