Payroll Administrator

Job Title: Payroll Administrator Location: Wantage Salary: £35,000–£40,000 Office-based for 3 months, then hybrid (3 days in office, 2 from home) JGA are partnering with a leading hospitality business, looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be key in handling the monthly payroll, making sure everything is accurate and on time, and dealing with the usual starters, leavers, pensions, and reports. What you’ll be doing: Setting up new starters and processing leavers Making monthly updates and amendments to payroll Checking and submitting monthly payroll Producing reports, journals, and reconciliations Helping with audits and year-end tasks Staying up to date on payroll and tax changes Handling a mix of regular and ad-hoc payroll tasks What we’re looking for: Solid payroll experience Progress toward CIPP or similar qualifications is a plus Super organised, great with numbers, and detail-oriented Comfortable with Excel and accounting software Discreet, proactive, and able to work independently Some travel and occasional weekend work may be needed during busy periods.
