About the Role We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established digital marketing agency in Manchester that’s looking to grow its performance team with the addition of an SEO Executive . This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of clients in different sectors, delivering results-focused SEO strategies and taking a hands-on role in technical SEO delivery. As part of a collaborative agency environment, you’ll work alongside SEO, content, PPC, and web development specialists to help clients achieve their organic growth goals. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Sitebulb, or equivalent. Monitor and optimise client site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and page speed. Collaborate with in-house developers and external teams to implement SEO recommendations. Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies. Analyse performance Identify and resolve issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content. Support on-page optimisation including metadata, internal linking, and content refinement. Stay on top of SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and industry changes. Required Experience & Skills ~2+ years of experience in an SEO role, ideally within an agency environment. ~ Strong technical SEO knowledge and the ability to apply it across multiple websites. ~ Excellent Excel skills — including pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, and data analysis for reporting and SEO tracking. ~ Proficient in SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and similar. ~ Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO. ~ Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organised with strong problem-solving skills. ~ Confident communicator, capable of explaining SEO concepts to clients and stakeholders. Desirable but Not Essential Agency experience with multiple client accounts. Exposure to e-commerce or international SEO. Knowledge of structured data/schema markup. Understanding of Core Web Vitals and performance metrics. Experience with log file analysis or server-side SEO insights. What’s in it for You?
