Are you a proactive and detail-driven HR & Payroll professional ready for a stand-alone role where you can truly make an impact? We re seeking an experienced HR Payroll Specialist to join a fast-paced and evolving Aftermarket business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on autonomy and enjoys educating and supporting managers across all areas of people management and payroll.

The role of HR Payroll Specialist:

You will be instrumental in supporting the continuous improvement of the HR function, taking full responsibility for the delivery of all HR and payroll services. From absence management and recruitment to learning and development and payroll accuracy you ll be the go-to person for all things HR in a standalone capacity.

Your day will include:

• End-to-end HR delivery: absence, onboarding, recruitment, performance management, L&D, and employee relations
• Educate and guide managers on HR policies and best practices
• Maintain and update HR policies to meet legal compliance
• Drive accurate payroll processing, timekeeping, and reporting
• Administer company pension schemes and auto-enrolment
• Support managers through disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Coordinate overtime, expenses, and payroll inputs
• Collaborate with Finance on annual submissions including P11Ds and PSA
• Ensure GDPR compliance in all HR and payroll records
• Develop and improve the HRIS and implement digital self-serve systems

The successful HR Payroll specialist will have:

• Proven experience in a combined HR and Payroll role
• CIPD qualified (or equivalent HR experience highly desirable)
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Ability to work independently and influence at all levels
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
