Dandy Marketing are a remote digital marketing agency specialising in SEO and Paid Media. In line with our continued growth, we are now looking for a proactive and ambitious SEO Assistant to join our remote team and support the growth of our clients’ organic presence. You will be reporting to the SEO Manager and be part of a wider team aimed at delivering exceptional SEO for our clients. You will be given a high level of autonomy to identify what needs doing and get the work completed whilst communicating the what and why.
We are looking for like-minded people that have a genuine enthusiasm for SEO, and have the curiosity and desire to continually learn and develop. If you’re set on pursuing a career in SEO and want a role where you will be trusted, pushed and given the space to develop this could be it. This role would suit an individual with previous hands-on experience in formulating and implementing SEO optimisations. From ensuring best practices are being met to spotting new opportunities for client websites, you’ll be involved in a full range of SEO activities.
ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a hands-on role where you will be implementing SEO optimisations across multiple client websites. You will be reporting directly to the SEO Manager and play a vital role in the overall growth of the agency, and driving results for our clients. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Supporting with SEO audits.
- Implementing changes on websites on platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace.
- Prioritisation and Implementation of growth focused website optimisations, including meta data optimisations and uploads.
- Carrying out internal link audits and optimisations for key pages/categories.
- Using Google Search Console to diagnose indexing issues and website performance.
- Keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities and new page creation.
- Conducting detailed optimisations on key landing pages.
- Working to demanding deadlines.
- Supporting with client reporting.
- Creating varied content across a wide range of industries.
- Liaising with/managing developers to implement technical SEO fixes or website design changes where required.
The perfect candidate will have:
- Ideally 2 years of experience in an SEO role.
- Strong experience with Content Management systems such as WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace etc.
- A genuine interest and enthusiasm for SEO and staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices.
- Previous exposure to technical SEO tactics/areas such as Link building, Core Web Vitals, Schema and javascript etc.
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimisation best practices.
- A solid understanding of the components of a successful SEO strategy (Technical, Content & Links).
- Experience with Sitebulb / Screaming Frog (or other crawlers).
- An ability to self-motivate whilst working remotely.
- An understanding of client requirements and an ability to learn and understand their business.
- Great copywriting skills.
- Strong research skills.
- An ability to come up with original ideas.
- Editorial requirements include good SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
- Excellent communication skills via digital channels with the rest of the team.
- Time management. You know how to budget your time and move your schedule around to get the important things done.
- Collaborative communication. You can give constructive feedback to colleagues and are open to receiving feedback as well.
- Proactive. You like to achieve and don't wait for others to tell you what to do or give you permission to do something great.
- Experience in writing content for landing pages.
- Previous in-house, agency or remote work experience.
- Experience with the Gmail suite (gmail, gdrive etc).
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel.
- Experience with ASANA project management tool.
- Hands-on experience using Ahrefs, SurferSEO and other SEO tools.
