The Dunard Centre is recruiting a Development Manager to support the delivery of fundraising strategy across a broad range of income streams including trust and foundations, individual giving and corporate sponsorship. This fixed-term role will suit a self-motivated, articulate individual with the ability to work confidently across multiple income lines. Â

Key responsibilitiesÂ

Supporting income generation, pipeline management, and ensuring accurate donor records are maintainedÂ

Providing regular reports, data and insight to the Director of Development   Â

Managing development expenditure budget Â

Writing informed, engaging and effective fundraising proposals.Â

Contracting of corporate partners, ensuring accuracy and alignment with agreed partnership objectives and deliverablesÂ

Managing logistics of partnership delivery  Â

Managing a portfolio of small to medium funders (Individual giving, and trusts and foundations)Â Â

Grant administration, monitoring and reportingÂ

Supporting strategy for selling seats and mid-level naming opportunities Â

Supporting the development of a Dunard Centre membership schemeÂ

Supporting the development of the Dunard Centre’s legacy programmeÂ

Supporting the development and delivery of communications and campaign materialsÂ

Planning and delivering an imaginative and targeted calendar of events  Â

Representing the Dunard Centre at external functionsÂ

Undertaking other relevant activities as required Â

Essential skills & experienceÂ
• Proven track record of using initiative to secure grants and donationsÂ
• Able to create compelling, tailored fundraising content to drive donor engagement and maximise income opportunitiesÂ
• Confidently able to work on a CRM database for supporter management and reportingÂ
• Keen understanding of donor care and stewardshipÂ
• Event creation and managementÂ
• Outstanding people skillsÂ
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to changing circumstancesÂ
• Knowledge of regulatory environment for fundraising from individuals including data protection, Gift Aid and fundraising codes of practice and regulationÂ
• Working with a team to meet shared objectivesÂ
• A good understanding of the cultural sector and emerging trends in fundraisingÂ

Desirable experienceÂ
• Experience of running fundraising appealsÂ
• Securing donations at a five and six-figure level Â
• Experience of legacy campaignsÂ
• Experience of venues and/or capital projectsÂ
