The successful Primary Teacher will have Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training. The successful Primary Teacher will be responsible for providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences. The students, ranging from Year 2 to Year 6, face challenges with PDA, communication and social interaction, often linked to Autism. So as a Primary Teacher you will be expected to contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum whilst recognizing the educational, physical and social needs of the students within your learning environment. You will also be expected to maintain an overall awareness of Autism especially those with Speech, language and communication needs to help engage students within your class.
