Drayton are excited to partner with a well-respected and dynamic business in Europe dedicated to premium spirits & wines, who are seeking a UK Finance Director. Reporting into the UK Managing Director, the Finance Director will sit on the UK Senior Leadership team. They will be fully accountable for overall financial management and be responsible for guiding the UK business’ future trajectory. The UK business is developing in line with their plans and operates across a range of alcoholic drinks. They are looking to further upscale their expansion and build upon their positive trajectory within the market.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an extensive background in the UK market within alcoholic drinks.
- Have a proven track record in financial leadership, holding relevant accounting qualifications.
- Have demonstrated experience in providing strategic financial support and P&L ownership to enable business growth.
- Have the commercial initiative to influence business strategy, while upholding the financial objectives of the business.
- Provide valuable insight and perspective as a leader to positively influence team objectives.
- Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to foster strong relationships throughout the organisation.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Lead the UK finance function to deliver comprehensive insight on the financial performance of the business, and subsequent guidance on business strategy.
- Deliver on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting measures to develop the long-term financial strategy of the business.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of commercial strategy in the business.
- Liaise with the business' sales and commercial function to influence their delivery against the financial objectives of business operations.
- Manage cash flow and optimize working capital, identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, oversee insurance and risk management in coordination with global functions.
This role will be operating with a hybrid working policy, including 2 days in a London based office.
