Conrad Energy are currently recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to join their growing team. We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Electricity Account Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of B2B electricity customers, including Half-Hourly (HH) metered consumers, generation customers under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Third-Party Intermediaries (TPIs). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, optimising account value, ensuring contractual compliance, and supporting long-term energy and sustainability goals.

  • Customer Account Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of PPA contracts, including onboarding, operational delivery, performance reporting, and renewal.
  • Commercial and Contractual Support: Work closely with pricing and sales teams to deliver competitive and risk-aligned quotations for both import and export supply contracts. Monitor and manage contract performance (volume forecasts, reconciliation, settlement) and support invoice validation processes. Proactively identify opportunities to upsell additional services, including flexible procurement, optimisation, and energy management solutions.
  • TPI Relationship Management: Manage TPI onboarding, due diligence, and performance monitoring in line with internal governance and compliance requirements. Support regular communication and training with TPIs on products, pricing structures, and operational procedures. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. operations, trading, metering, billing, settlements) to ensure accurate and timely contract delivery. Support issue resolution relating to metering data, settlements, DUoS/TNUoS charges, imbalance costs, and export volumes. Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure data integrity for forecasting, reporting, and audit readiness.
  • Regulatory and Market Insight: Provide guidance to clients on market dynamics, risk mitigation strategies, and the implications of decarbonisation policies.

Proven experience in account management within the UK electricity sector, ideally with HH metered and/or generation customers. Strong understanding of PPAs, flexible procurement, site-specific charging, and balancing services. Familiarity with TPI and consultant sales channels and best practices in TPI engagement. Commercially aware, numerate, and able to interpret complex energy data and pricing structures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and partners. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in contract and billing administration. Degree-level education in a relevant field. Experience with customer portals, CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), and MS Excel. Working knowledge of industry data flows (e.g. D0036, D0040), settlement processes, and HH data validation.
