Do you have a passion for civil law and litigation? Do you get a thrill from dispute resolution and negotiation? If you enjoy investigative work and analytical decision making, we might have the next challenge you are looking for.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Legal Officer to join our busy and dynamic civil claims team. The successful applicant will have conduct of case work handling personal injury and property damage claims pursued against the three Orbis Local Authorities. The role will predominantly consist of pre-action claims relating to the Highways Act 1980, Occupiers Liability and Employers Liability.

We are looking for effective communicators who are good team players and have a willingness to learn. Candidates must

  1. Hold one the following qualifications: Institute of Legal Executive qualification or a substantial part thereof or equivalent or similar qualification e.g. law degree, LPC or BVC or substantial proven fee-earning experience in a legal practice.
  2. Have an interest in Tort law and Civil Litigation. 
  3. Be able to analyse facts, research the law and apply it.
