Spencer Rigby have partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company looking for a hands-on IT Application Development Manager who’s ready to take charge, drive smart solutions, and shape the digital backbone of company systems and data landscape.
This isn’t just another management role; this is a high-impact opportunity to lead a talented development team, own system architecture, and deliver scalable, business-critical solutions that fuel global operations.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a high-performing internal development team across all major technical initiatives
- Architect and evolve a robust, scalable systems & data landscape
- Ensure 24/7 system reliability
- Champion best practices across SDLC and keep documentation sharp
- Coach and mentor both team members and stakeholders in modern tools & methods
- Partner with IT and business leaders to turn complex needs into clever, value-driven solutions
- Collaborate with top-tier vendors to keep key systems like ERP, QMS & PLM running smoothly
What You Bring:
- Hands-on leadership experience in tech development within the Medical Device or advanced manufacturing space
- Expertise architecting and designing new and current systems
- Proven track record of leading support teams in maintaining applications for a global, 24/7 operational business
- Comprehensive expertise in Azure, Java, and API integration
- Extensive experience in vendor management, particularly with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems
