Investment Analyst

Partner Financial are working with a rapidly expanding renewable energy company dedicated to revolutionising Europe’s energy landscape. With a strong commitment to sustainability, this company is at the forefront of the clean energy transition, investing in and managing cutting-edge renewable projects that align with its environmental values.
As part of its continued growth, a new position has been created to support the company’s expanding portfolio of renewable assets and investment activities. Initially concentrating on the UK portfolio, the role will be pivotal in bolstering regional assets and enhancing the company’s investment capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Investment Analyst to contribute meaningfully to the clean energy transition while advancing their career within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain detailed financial models to assess the valuation and future performance of renewable energy assets.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including sensitivity testing and scenario planning, to evaluate the impact of market fluctuations, policy changes and operational risks.
- Produce regular performance reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) for UK assets, providing key insights into financial and operational trends.
- Prepare investment committee papers for proposed UK investments, incorporating financial projections, market research and risk evaluations.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure investment proposals are accurate, well-structured and aligned with corporate objectives.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, including government incentives, regulatory changes and energy price movements to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Support portfolio management activities, identifying ways to enhance asset value and mitigate risks.
- Identify financial and operational efficiencies in existing projects to maximise returns while adhering to sustainability goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Deep understanding of project finance, asset valuation and key financial metrics within the renewable energy sector is mandatory.
- Experience in renewable energy investments, financial analysis or project finance.
- Highly proficient in financial modelling, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to build and manage complex models.
- Strong communication skills, with experience drafting and presenting investment proposals.
- A collaborative team player capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
