Copello are working with a global defence company who are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer (Software) to play a key role in the development of Autonomous Maritime Systems.

Your new day-to-day will be exciting and diverse by applying your knowledge of Systems Engineering and Software Architecture definition in the increasingly significant field of autonomous defence systems, working with global experts and cutting-edge technology.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Shaping software system architectures and applying advanced Systems Engineering in a high-impact domain
• Decomposing and managing system/software requirements and architecture using industry-standard tools
• Driving test planning and execution to validate complex systems
• Contributing to customer acceptance strategies and delivering engineering excellence

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong Systems Engineering expertise with software integration experience
• Proficiency in MBSE and architectural modelling (e.g. SysML/UML, TOGAF)
• Experience with tools like IBM DOORS, Cameo, Sparx EA, and MATLAB/Simulink
• STEM degree or equivalent practical experience
