Our client is a Digital Transformation and Cyber Security Consultancy, currently looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. They offer innovative digital and cyber security solutions to clients from the public and private sectors. You will be working on interesting large-scale Government and private sector projects.
ROLE OBJECTIVE: Weβre looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer on contract to play a critical role in a public sector digital transformation program. Join a high-performing team focused on advancing automation, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and enabling seamless continuous delivery across development and operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across environments.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins with Groovy scripting to enable efficient, automated application build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and system configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Vagrant, and scripting in Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
- Orchestrate and manage containerized applications using Docker, supporting streamlined deployment and environment consistency across development and production.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager to proactively identify and resolve system performance issues.
- Champion DevOps best practices in automation, security, and agile delivery to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and team productivity.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Strong expertise in Azure services (VMs, Networking, Storage, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing Azure infrastructure
- Proficient with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC frameworks
- Collaborative and proactive with excellent problem-solving abilities
