Are you a skilled driver with a passion for keeping our environment clean? We're seeking a dedicated Dust Cart Driver to operate our dust carts and ensure the timely collection of waste across our service area. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate dust carts in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Collect waste and recyclables from residential and commercial properties as scheduled.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and report any issues or delays.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from residents.
- Maintain accurate records of collections and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Follow proper waste disposal and recycling procedures.
- Valid UK driver's license; a clean driving record is preferable but no more than 6 points.
- Full CPC and Tacho card.
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably with experience operating dust carts or similar vehicles.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
