A manufacturing company in Oxford is looking for a Stores Operative / Logistics Coordinator to work in their busy dispatch / stores team. This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to be proactive, highly motivated, organised and have good communication skills. You will be working as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment, and you need to be physically fit as some heavy lifting may be required.
Previous work with forklifts would be advantageous in this role or training will be given.
The role:- To receive and inspect goods against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
- Notify relevant staff of any shortages and any damaged goods received and await further instruction.
- Putting received stock away in relevant locations or assigning overflow locations.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
- Unloading of vehicles for goods being received.
- Timely issuing and kitting of materials to the production in line with production schedules.
- Kitting to Sub-assembly and dealing with queries at the hatch from other business units.
- The continuous audit of all stock by periodic cycle counting.
- Responsible for the security, control and movement of raw material stock.
- Loading/unloading trucks and moving stock using a forklift in despatch where needed.
- You must be computer literate and have the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- SAP Knowledge is desirable.
- You must have experience of stockroom and despatch procedures, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment.
Monday to Friday, 8 ā 4.30pm, 40 hours per week, cĀ£27k + Healthcare & Pension. Due to the rural location near Oxford you need to have your own transport.
