In just four years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become the largest eMobility player in Europe, with over 960,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more. But that’s just the start: we’re looking to make the electric fleet transition as smart and simple as possible by building the best platform through Octopus Electroverse for Business.

We’re busy launching new products, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making the electric fleet transition super simple. Electroverse is a multifunctional team comprising product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships, and more - all focused on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate B2B Marketing Lead to join the Electroverse team and grow our Octopus Electroverse for Business product. Being a true generalist, you’ll lead on the day-to-day marketing piece, feeding into the wider strategy with the Head of Marketing.

Being a part of the Octopus Group, there are a few things you should know... We don’t do things the traditional way. No agencies, no bureaucratic sign-off processes, and no unnecessary meetings. We have an incredible in-house team of developers, marketers, designers, product and commercial team, and we all work together to create a product that transforms the e-mobility space.

For the right person, this is a freeing and revolutionary way of working, but if you need hand-holding, this might not be the job for you. You’ll need to be hands-on, proactive, and full of ideas - we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Our marketing team is lean for a product with such an international outlook, which makes this the perfect place to get stuck in and make an impact.

What You’ll Do...

  • Create, curate and manage strategic B2B campaigns in the UK and abroad.
  • Lead on B2B SEO and content strategy, conducting regular keyword research and planning content accordingly. Experience on SEMrush would be preferred.
  • Create exciting content and copy to engage with existing and potential fleets/businesses.
  • Along with the Head of Fleets, curate the Electroverse for Business event calendar: organising our own events, partnering with key stakeholder events, and seeking opportunities to get the Electroverse for Business branding in places where we physically can’t attend.
  • Help create meaningful and engaging video content for use across different platforms.
  • Help curate the content calendar and quarterly e-newsletter.
  • Be a guardian (and champion!) of Octopus Electroverse for Business public presence and tone of voice.
  • Work with the Electroverse web, design and ops teams, for example, to create new content & visuals for socials, work on web design and SEO, enhance the Electroverse for Business website to cater for engagement.
  • Work with our Marketing Specialist to help build brand awareness through a robust social media strategy on LinkedIn.
  • Think creatively about how Electroverse for Business can be a bigger and better part of the EV ecosystem, with the ultimate aim of helping Businesses transition their fleets to electric.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and digital trends.
  • Help with wider tasks as we launch Electroverse for Business in more countries.

What You’ll Need...

  • Have experience in growing a B2B brand, with particular skills in strong storytelling and narrative-lead marketing and PR.
  • Have experience in events. Strategically planning and executing events to promote/increase brand awareness, generate leads, and foster customer loyalty through in-person or virtual experiences.
  • Have experience in digital marketing: from engagement stats and click-through rates to a wider SEO strategy and campaign management (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, PPC, etc.).
  • Love creating content, whether that’s a straightforward social post or a high-impact advertorial campaign.
  • Have an excellent understanding of audience, writing styles, and tone of voice.
  • Are willing to dive into the detail to enhance your understanding and use that to help customers: part of Octopus’s DNA is simplifying complex topics so that we can all easily understand.
  • Have experience in growing and engaging a community - understanding the needs/wants of your targeted demographic.
  • Are a people person and enjoy engaging and working with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Are genuinely passionate about building a green product, in pursuit of Octopus’s wider goal of decarbonising our planet.
  • Don’t need detailed knowledge of electric vehicles or emobility, but an interest and desire to know more about the industry is essential!
