Access Talent Group are currently working with a Multi-disciplined, Civil Engineering and utility contractor who are based in the Midlands. They are framework partners with several major utilities, driven by a commitment to maintaining and developing solid client relationships and continue to diversify and reinforce their reputation for delivering quality you can build on. They are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team to deliver on projects and assist the organic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Highly proactive and dynamic, with the will to learn and develop into a strong commercial professional.
- Day to day, you’ll be working closely with the Commercial Team and Project teams to ensure the correct project controls are in place covering cost, cash and contract management; striving for continuous improvement and learning core skills, with a view to further development in the career ladder.
- Support the Contracts Manager and Commercial Team in the day to day management of a range of contracts, compiling and preparing the monthly Cost and Value Reports (CVR’s) and assisting with the Earned Value forecasting of secured projects.
- Assist with Contract Administration, including management of the Early Warning and Compensation Events processes as well as taking part in Contract/Cost to Complete Reviews.
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant degree and/or experience of working in a relevant Commercial environment, time management skill and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic and driven individuals, who are comfortable and confident working with numbers.
- Strong IT skills including the use of Microsoft Packages.
- An excellent team player with the confidence to communicate and influence at all levels and establish strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture.
