The Company A Lancashire-based Civil Engineering contractor has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer to work on a range of civil and new road improvement projects across the Oldham and Rochdale borough.
The Role
- Working on 278 Works / Public Realm / Paving / Earthworks / New Road Construction / Road Surfacing / Road Junctions / Round About / Drainage / Externals / Landscaping.
- Working alongside an existing management team, Project Manager and Site managers.
- Setting Out for all the above works.
- All associated paperwork / Record Keeping / QA Sub-contract.
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and manage setting out data, records, and QA documentation.
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor site progress and provide technical support as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working on highways and public realm schemes.
- Civil Engineering/Construction Management Qualification e.g. HNC/HND/Degree level.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
- Proven experience working setting out on 278 works, Earthworks, New Road Construction, Road Junctions, Drainage, Concreting, Landscaping.
- Strong understanding of site safety, quality control, and programme management.
- Self-motivated with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
