At Shout Digital, we work on projects that make a difference. Solving business challenges, creating impact, and making lives easier with digital products, experience design, cloud engineering and AI. We help ambitious leaders reach their goals faster, partnering with organisations to design, build and launch digital products that bring their most valuable technology-driven experiences to life.

You will be part of, and supported by, a friendly and inclusive team who are passionate about building innovative digital products. Shout Digital is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.

As our marketing champion, you will be customer obsessed and focused on ensuring our proposition is not only relevant, but front of mind with our target prospects as you help us build a highly qualified sales pipeline - this is a commercial role. We are looking for someone who can join us and take the lead with our marketing, working across the usual channels but feels confident to explore newer and less-used tactics too - experimentation is something we embrace. As we enter our next phase of growth, our Head of Marketing will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our business and commercial goals.

You will have been working in a marketing role for at least the past 4 years and will be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of marketing a service business, rather than a product-based business. Your aspirations will be high and the prospect of progressing to Marketing Director and building out a team over the next 2-4 years will appeal to you.

Working closely with the Founder and Chief Commercial Officer you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and understanding the profile of our target audience, what keeps them up at night and communicating this to the rest of the business.
  • Ensuring our brand proposition is as relevant as possible to our core market.
  • Building and executing our marketing plan that gets us noticed and stays top of mind with them to add opportunities to our commercial pipeline.
  • Co-ordinating and managing all aspects of our marketing plan across events, content, social and communications.
  • Making Shout and our people as famous as possible, including personal and brand profiles.
  • Tracking, measuring and reporting on marketing KPIs and communicating these back to the leadership team on a regular basis.
  • Allocating and managing a marketing budget, ensuring a good ROI on spend and providing regular spend/forecast updates to the leadership team to help manage cashflow.
  • Championing an exceptional customer experience for our clients, ensuring any interaction with Shout is a positive one for everyone.
  • Helping us create and deliver an unrivalled employee value proposition and make Shout one of the most desirable places to work.

An understanding of web technologies, digital products and evolving AI is essential. You should be comfortable with the media landscape in the tech/digital and design sectors, developing marketing and communications strategies, and delivering content marketing activities. Experience in a busy agency environment or equivalent is preferred, along with a good grasp of digital insights and performance analytics. You should be confident producing written content – both short and long form, and possess basic graphic asset editing/creation and video editing skills including adding subtitles. Being well-connected, friendly, outgoing and brand-driven is important, as is being deeply personable and thriving in building strong, meaningful relationships.
