Liquid Personnel is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the Child Protection Team of our esteemed client. In this role, Social Workers will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and their families. The position involves identifying needs, ensuring safety, and monitoring progress in accordance with the Children Act, Service policies, and relevant legislation. Additionally, responsibilities include managing and supervising child placements, as well as adhering to fostering and adoption standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, young people, and their families.
  • Conduct thorough and timely assessments following regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various agencies, children, and families in the assessment and planning process.
  • Manage complex and diverse caseloads, maintaining high standards of casework.
  • Mentor and support less experienced Social Workers, co-working cases as necessary.
  • Develop care plans that reflect the views and wishes of children and young people.
  • Maintain detailed case records and produce required reports.
  • Ensure statutory duties are fulfilled in line with legal and Service requirements.
  • Pursue professional development to meet HCPC and Service standards.
  • Comply with Council Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
  • Meet the requirements of Lancashire's Progression Policy.
  • Work towards Practice Education qualification for student Social Workers.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the Service.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, and have post-qualified experience.
