We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to provide technical support, site surveys, and quality control for all electrical engineers and contractors within the Social Housing Mechanical department. This role is crucial in ensuring electrical work meets industry standards and compliance regulations, providing training, and liaising with clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all electrical work meets industry standards, including BS7671:2018, The Electricity at Work Regulations, HSE requirements, and CCS policies.
- Verify electrical certificates and reports created by electricians.
- Conduct 10% Quality Control checks on electrical works by both in-house electricians and contractors.
- Carry out competency assessments and site audits to ensure engineers meet professional standards.
- Represent CCS during the annual NICEIC assessment.
- Perform urgent and planned electrical works as requested by the planning team.
- Develop and administer a calibration regime for electrical testing equipment.
- Stay up to date with 18th Edition and MCS amendments, providing toolbox talks and technical bulletins to update staff.
- Assist the Compliance department in maintaining a training matrix for all electrical staff.
- Conduct PAT Testing for office locations and large CCS sites annually.
- Provide technical support to the Estimating department for project surveys and design considerations.
- Lead staff inductions for new electrical team members.
- Collaborate with the admin team to ensure efficient project planning and management.

Skills & Qualifications
- Approved Electrical Apprenticeship.
- SVQ Level 3 including AM2.
- FICA Certification.
- City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/5) Inspection & Testing.
- City & Guilds 2382-10/12/20 or 15 (17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations).
- City & Guilds 2377 (PAT Testing).
Experience Required
- Proven experience in Social Housing electrical installations, including large-scale projects, surveying, costing, and supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and safety standards.
- Ability to analyse test results and ensure accuracy at all times.
- Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
- Flexibility to work across various locations as required.
