This is an unmissable opportunity to join a well-established and respected developer in a client-side role. Our client is seeking to hire a Planning Manager to join their Manchester team. The company specialises in national land promotion, with a strong emphasis on residential and mixed-use developments.
Reporting to the Planning Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing planning strategies, leading planning applications, and supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research to inform planning strategies and site promotions.
- Develop and implement planning and engagement strategies.
- Prepare and sign off planning reports, applications, appeals, and policy presentations.
- Support senior team members with planning matters as required.
- Review and provide feedback on external consultant reports.
- Manage workload effectively, including delegating tasks as needed.
- Lead public engagement and consultation events.
- Mentor and support junior planners.
- Experience in residential planning (preferred but not essential).
- A degree in Planning or a related field, with eligibility for RTPI Membership.
- Proven ability to manage workloads and projects efficiently.
- Knowledge of site promotion through development plans and planning applications.
- A proactive and positive mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
