An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join a renowned clinic in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The clinic is seeking a dedicated professional to support their existing team in the out-of-hours rota.

The Role: The successful candidate will take on approximately 50% of the first call-out of hours rota, dovetailing with the other out-of-hours Vet, in a week-on / week-off arrangement. This role is mainly ambulatory, but the successful candidate will have access to the clinic's state-of-the-art facilities, including stabling, a surgical suite, a clinic room with stocks, DR, ultrasound, videoscopes, etc. The clinic's tech-savvy Practice Manager has streamlined a variety of administrative tasks, including bookings, on-call rota, holiday requests, and remote access to the PMS, through a series of bespoke phone apps. This role offers an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity for professional growth, with funded CPD and development encouraged.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 4.30 pm to 8.30 am, Friday 4.30 pm to Monday 8.30 am, and Bank Holidays Week on week off out-of-hours work.

It is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy units. The team consists of highly experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, each with their own area of expertise. The clinic operates 24/7, ensuring around-the-clock care for patients.
