We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in Northampton, known for its expertise in residential property matters. Key Responsibilities
As a Residential Property Paralegal, you will support the residential property team in managing a diverse caseload of transactions from instruction to post-completion. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting with the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties.
- Supporting the management of remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build purchases.
- Conducting property searches and liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, title documents, and other related legal documentation under the supervision of a solicitor.
- Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and other legal requirements.
- Maintaining accurate case records and managing client expectations through regular communication.
- Assisting in dealing with complex property issues, such as lease extensions, shared ownership, and adverse possession.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in residential property law is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including relevant legislation and regulations.
