Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer £36,000-£41,000 plus Package Company based in Stockton on Tees Full job description Due to a long term contract win by my client, they are looking to appoint a number of new, permanent technical posts to support their growth; including a Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician. The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician will support the Repairs & Maintenance Manager in delivering the gas related maintenance and repairs contracts. The role will suit a Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician who has significant, technical experience in undertaking air conditioning & refrigeration maintenance, repairs and installation works in both domestic and commercial premises – particularly within schools, universities, MoD sites, factories, and public sector buildings. The role requires the ability to lead on jobs, to independently plan and deliver work assigned to the highest quality and within given timeframes, and in accordance with all statutory requirements, company policies and industry good practice. This role is on the ‘front line’ for the business and must therefore always represent the company positively and professionally. The role is expected to demonstrate initiative, exceptional time management skills and the ability to always meet tight deadlines. The job also entails liaising with clients onsite whilst undertaking work; therefore, excellent communication skills is essential for the role. Key qualifications and experience include: * Completion of a recognized Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline – NVQ level 3 or equivalent * F-gas and ODS Regs * Basic electrical safety (18th Edition) * Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH Legislation and M&E industry regulations * Site Safety or CSCS Health and Safety Scheme or equivalent * Computer literate with skills in word, excel, email, internet etc and CRM skills * Trustworthy and discreet * Highly organised, with the ability to manage own jobs for the day and across numerous sites * Able to work on own initiative. * Good time management skills * Experience of working at a small to medium sized company * Used to working to tight deadlines * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * A proactive approach to work and problem solving Having the following would also be advantageous: * Water Regulations 1999 * Disinfection & monitoring of Hot & Cold Water Systems * Unvented Systems * Legionella Risk Assessment of Hot & Cold Water Systems within buildings * IPAF & PASMA * IOSH/SMSTS or equivalent * Measuring & Quotation Preparation Please note successful candidates will be subject to advanced DBS, Police and MOD vetting for our contracted works. You will also join the call out rota for which an additional payment will be made when completed.
