Silver Arrow require an experienced Transport Planner to work for a logistics company based in the Leigh area.
Your Role:
- Plan vehicle routes coordinating the efficient movement of palletised freight across a network of depots and delivery points.
- Liaising with partner depots in the pallet network to coordinate collections and deliveries.
- Communicating with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Handling admin duties, including updating transport management systems and maintaining compliance records including driver hours and health & safety.
What we need from you:
- Previous transport planning experience - minimum 1 year.
- Knowledge of UK road transport regulations and pallet network operations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with transport planning software and logistics platforms.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing delivery schedules.
- Knowledge of driver compliance and legislation.
- Strong customer service skills.
