We are currently seeking an experienced Machinery Safety Engineer on behalf of a respected organisation operating as a UK Approved Body for machinery certification. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for machinery safety and compliance.
About the Role:
- Conducting machinery safety inspections across various sectors
- Providing expert guidance on safe machine design and CE/UKCA marking requirements
- Drafting and reviewing technical files
- Delivering training on machinery safety topics
- Participating in accreditation and compliance processes for the Approved Body
The role requires regular travel throughout the UK, with occasional international assignments. It offers the chance to work across a broad array of machinery types and manufacturing environments.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven familiarity with complex hazardous machinery from diverse manufacturing industries
- Passion for machinery and understanding of user needs
- Practical experience in design, development, engineering management, or maintenance of machinery
- Knowledge or experience in technical compliance is highly desirable
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering considered), supported by strong academic performance
