Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembly Operative – Gloucester – £25 to £27 per hour, Monday to Friday, Ongoing full time work, immediate start available for the right candidate following successful internet and wire test.

As an Electrical Assembly Operative, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end build and wiring of control panels to precise electrical specifications. This includes mounting trunking, DIN rails, electrical components, and ensuring all work meets high safety and quality standards. You’ll play a vital role in a collaborative, fast-paced production team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and wire control panels from scratch to specification diagrams
  • Mount trunking, DIN rails, relays, PLCs, and associated electrical components
  • Use hand tools, ferrules, heat shrink, and cable markings according to schematics
  • Follow test scripts and troubleshoot any issues or defects
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules
  • Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a productive working culture
Requirements:
  • Manual Dexterity: Must pass a hands-on dexterity test
  • Experience: Previous experience in electrical control panel and wire assembly is required.
  • Technical Ability: Strong understanding of wiring motors, power supplies, and PLCs
  • Clearance: Must pass a security vetting process
  • Interview: Face-to-face interview required
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing workloads and production demands
