We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join our existing team, based at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.
The role:
As Quality Control Technician, you will inspect manufactured and purchased products in accordance with company drawings & specifications.
Hours: Double Day Shifts: 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting NPD with parts/products requiring inspection and reports.
- Liaising with the relevant technical authority on any technical issue.
- Making informed decisions based on evidence gathered.
- Supporting Disposition Reviews when necessary.
- Supporting CAPA investigations, internally & externally as and when required.
- Performing or supporting Gauge R&R or MSA reviews in line with company requirements.
- Supporting calibration when necessary.
- Supporting both Internal & External audits.
What are we looking for?
As Quality Control Technician, you will have the following:
Key skills and experience:
- Minimum HNC in an Engineering Discipline.
- Trained in the use of CMM and VMM.
- Experience in machining and milling, ideally within the medical or aerospace sector.
- Familiar with GD&T and confident in a variety of metrology equipment ranging from a micrometre to CMM/VMM.
- Ability to read drawings and determine the method of inspection.
- Ability to write Inspection Reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
