We are seeking an Integration Developer to join a forward-thinking Digital Technology Services team supporting critical integrations and enterprise platforms.
About the Role
As an Integration Developer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing our cloud-based integration landscape, including the design, development, and maintenance of APIs, data feeds, and middleware components using Microsoft Azure Integration Services. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing transition from legacy platforms and help shape a service-oriented architecture approach across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and manage integrations between corporate systems (e.g., Student Records, HR, Finance, CRM, CMS, Timetabling, VLE).
- Work with tools such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, SQL Server, SSIS, and .NET.
- Support the migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based integration solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Promote best practices in data management, integration testing, and change management.
- Support Identity & Access Management systems and provide MDM (Master Data Management) expertise.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in SQL programming, Azure Integration Services, and enterprise middleware administration.
- Strong experience with SSIS, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and .NET (C# or VB.NET).
- Experience designing solutions using a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach.
- Ability to analyse complex data and system relationships, with a focus on master data integrity.
- Effective communicator, capable of liaising with both technical teams and non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of BizTalk, Azure DevOps, API Management, JavaScript, HTML, or ASP.NET.
- Familiarity with systems such as SITS, Unit4, Dynamics CRM, Blackboard/Canvas, CMIS, or Sitecore.
- Experience working in large or regulated environments such as higher education, public sector, or finance.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified, ITIL Foundation, BCS) or equivalent experience.
